Our Training

The Bay Area Association believes that excellence in performance rests on a foundation of education and for that reason we have been strong supporters of the thorough journeyman and apprenticeship training program for years. Thus, in cooperation with Plumbers & Steam fitters Local 85 of the United Association, we have co-sponsored the outstanding contractor training programs in Saginaw and Traverse City. These programs train incoming workers on the basic skills needed to work with the latest equipment and technologies. The contractor training programs also provide continuing education and certification in CFC reclamation, back flow prevention, and UA-approved welding techniques. Among other areas dealt with are code surveys, MIOSHA regulations and United Association programs, such as the safety-oriented SmartMark. Our supervisory staffs are trained in Total Quality Management, leadership and management programs so that the people we put on the job have a well rounded education.
